Do you think you could list this on your site, or come and visit and see if you would be interested in writing about the exhibit?

My friend and I are starting up and our art careers and would love people to come see the work and give some feedback.

The Buzzeo Building Gallery 31-16 36th Avenue Long Island City, Queens

Press Release

The Soft Plan May 7 – May 17, 2009

Exhibition of new work by Liz Burow and Angelo Monaco presented by Christine Purcell in collaboration with the Buzzeo Building Gallery

Opening Reception: Thursday, May 7, 2009 7-9 pm
Closing Reception: Sunday, May 17, 2009 7-9 pm
Poetry Readings: Saturday, May 9, 8-10 pm, Thursday, May 14 7:30-9:30 pm

Artist Liz Burow explores the abstract textures and patterns of urban landscapes using soft, tactile materials such as felt, topographic maps, recycled fabrics and paper. These three dimensional, abstracted textile works engage an interplay between utilitarian and recreation, softscape and hardscape, line and form, scale and context.

Angelo Monaco’s works on paper depart from the idea of Agit Prop – a visual strategy using propaganda to agitate the senses. Instead of political slogans, bright colors or superhuman figures to manufacture a consensus, he uses poetic fragments, magazine pages, blocks of black, and half-shaped human figures to identify in each of us an individual will. Like the poetic fragments of Sappho, they are broken mirrors that begin and end with silence. An epic story made from the artifacts of a lost world.

#7, yes censorship is not our thing, and spam usually involves unwanted promotion of another entity... the $15 drink thing, while is 1) incorrect and 2) perhaps overplayed, is not in violation of the liQcity editorial policy regarding commentary. Which as a refresher is 1) no explicit name calling and 2) no spamming (for real).

I'm still confused--is this ALL happening Friday night, or over the weekend? The Armory Show website was pretty useless as far as helping with Queens info.

I think they are funny, especially given all the hype for one effing little bar.

Foodies are dorks, even though I am sure it will be a cool place.

LIQcity, censorship does not seem to be your thing, but how about deleting the $15 drink comments. They were witty the first couple hundred times but now it's just spam.
