Long Island City 2009 Calendar by Art-o-Mat; Opening Party at Domaine

Long Island City calendar, Art-O-Mat

Art-O-Mat, the LIC gallery and artisan craft store on Vernon Blvd, has released a Long Island City 2009 calendar exclusively featuring the work of local artists.

There will be a Opening Party for the calendar this Sunday, Dec 7th, from 7-10pm at Domaine bar a vins, 50-04 Vernon Blvd. The artwork featured in the calendar will be on display at Domaine for two weeks following the Opening Party on Sunday. Refreshments will be served, but of course.

I think the current show at Art-o-mat with paintings of LIC is worth a look. The artist did a nice job of capturing various everyday scenes.

Sharon Florin has been painting LIC scenes for a long time. The paintings are an interesting blend of what’s real and the symmetries and beauty that an artist’s eyes will see. Art-O-Mat’s recent makeover is also pretty nice.

Very nice! I hope these will be available here through your site. I haven’t seen what they have done over at Art-O-Mat’s yet, Its been a while since I’ve been that direction. It would be great to see some recent pictures here though, hint hint. Nice site btw..
