They’re baaaaaaaaack. PS1 Warm Up parties return under ‘Public Farm One’

Under Public Farm One aka P.F.1., at P.S.1., Court Square, Long Island City
Nothing marks the arrival of summer in LIC quite like the PS1 Warm Up parties. If there is any entity that can lay claim to putting LIC on the mainstream radar, it’s PS1. While many complain about the nuisance factor of the Warm Up party attendees’ disruptive passage from PS1 to Water Taxi Beach in their endeavor to continue partying, it’s really a cool event. This year, the courtyard installation kicks up more than a few notches with an urban farmland installation entitled ‘Public Farm One’. Aka P.F.1.

Having checked out the installation sans throngs of swaying hipsters and un-hipsters, it’s definitely a must-see. But if you only make it over to PS1 for the Warm ups, you’re not missing out, and here’s this year’s summer schedule. Enjoy. Indeed.
Here’s a couple more shots:

nice photos!
Oh! Something we forgot to mention. LIC residents get into PS1 MoMa for free. Including the Warm Ups. If your license or ID does not reflect your LIC address, just bring a piece of mail with you and it works. With your ID of course. It used to be that you could get two entries with that, but not sure if that’s still the case.
Really Brandon? Really??
Dan Deacon… is that “ethnic” music? I love “ethnic” music.
Does Wham City count as ethnic?
no, but Wham does.
You mean Wham! ?
So, Dan Deacon is not going to be there after all I take it? Why the mysterious disappearing comments?

Also, there are live chickens with glowsticks and pacifiers tied around their necks, ready for Warm Up.
