Holiday glitz and glam at Ethereal’s Fashion and Trunk Show in LIC

On the catwalk at Ethereal Boutique’s Holiday Fashion & Trunk Show, LIC

Last night Vernon Blvd boutique Ethereal threw a Holiday Fashion & Trunk Show at SHI Restaurant in Queenswest. Tables of glittering jewelry and fancy accessories were set up, a catwalk was laid out alongside the bar, tables were packed, and Ethereal models worked their designs, all dolled up with lovely hair and makeup courtesy of the ladies over at LIC’s own Primp & Tease Salon on 50th Ave.

It was a mix of classic and edgy, vintage and modern, with lace and leather leggings, holiday dresses, sleek solids, bright colors, standout accessories, super high heels, and the sequins and shiny satins that always work so well with the season. Designers Auden, Blank New York, gla.MAR.ous, Fennimas, Loveday 31, Loose Ends, Olivia Lucas, Sally Drucker, and Wink and Flip were featured in the show.

Ethereal also outlined all of their models’ professions in the event booklet, so as to highlight their idea of the “strong, confident woman of today.” She could be a teacher, a nurse, a TV commercial producer, a college student, an account executive, or even one of the editors of LIC’s Ins&Outs Magazine – but she could also rock the catwalk, which in this case, came in quite handy.

This fashion show is probably the only time you’ll see single woman in LIC. Where the single woman at?!?

Whoops, sorry, I mean to clarify, I meant women who shave and bathe themselves.

Plenty of nice single ladies at Lounge and DH. Probably not responding to the debonair call of “Where the single women at?” though…
