Wine Tastings and a Trunk Show in Hunters Point tonight

It’s a rainy Thursday night in LIC… what to do?
Well…if you want to get your drink on, and for free, you can go to one of the two wine tastings going on at a couple of LIC’s most prized wine shops, Hunters Point Wines and Court Square Wine. For those who complain about lack of amenities in LIC, we certainly have an abundance of alcohol distributors.
After you’ve sampled, you can head to Subdivision, the funky boutique and art gallery at Vernon/Jackson for some fashion. And a couple snacks to balance the vino.

Subdivision is having a trunk show party tonight, July 24th from 6-9pm!!
There will be a DJ, snacks/drinks, $1,000 worth of raffled items, and special items and prices sold exclusively during the trunk show. Bring as many friends as you like and enjoy the event.

Paul at Hunters Point Wine knows wine. He has a great reliable stock. I haven’t been steered wrong by any of his suggestions.
Vine has a fun eclectic collection and they also know wine. ‘Orphaned’ wines are great buys.
Blue Streak - Haven’t tried so no opinion.
Vernon Wine is still trying to undo the old wino store stigma but actually does have a few good selections.
Court Square - largest stock but uneven.
