I’m a resident a bit north of you, more towards Astoria… though I’m still technically LIC.

This causes a lot of confusion, and as a result, my wife and I affectionately refer to our neighborhood as “ASTLIC.”

Would an acronym by any other name taste as sweet? I think not.
