1, Agreed. Again, I just don’t understand why the MTA is so adamantly opposed to running shuttle buses between the V-J station and Grand Central. It’s not an outrageous request — they are in the public transit business after all, aren’t they? — and it’s something they themselves have done in the past. I am tempted to highjack one of their idiotic shuttles to Queens Plaza and drive passengers myself to Manhattan.
The 7-train renovation is partially financed by Citibank and also I think the hotel that’s coming right there also, which is why it is efficiently progressing. The people in charge of coordinating the track renovations are completely separate from that project. The MTA does not function that coordinatedly.
Does anyone have a final rendering of how the Subway Transfer is going to look once they are done?

It’s nice to know that the MTA is more concerned about ferrying people from Manhattan to baseball games and the US open than with the people who actually live in the neighborhood. Yes sporting events are much more important than business that are here every day.
