5SL was ground-up construction, not a conversion of an existing building? I would have thought they would have made the exterior look nicer if that were the case.
WNYC reports that the Mayor is giving millions away to any neighborhood:
“having significant poverty, unemployment, rate of home foreclosures, or general distress.” So this is what Mayor Bolomberg considers LIC to be? Has he gone out of his capitalist mind or is he making his own private Manhattan.
#3 – Did the report pinpoint LIC. Queens is a very large borough and does have an extremely high rate of foreclosures –just not in our vicinity.
What’s all this bad punctuation. Aren’t you supposed to use a question mark at the end of an interrogative sentence. Where did you people learn to write.
I’m sorry if I offended your senses, townie. This old English Major apologizes profusely for such a grave oversight. BTW, where is your question mark? You did begin a sentence with a “why”. Does that not call for a question mark? I also noticed that your “where” sentence does not end with a question mark. I suspect that you were just “foolin” with me!
Yes #4 you can see the high light of Hunter’s Point shown in the map attached to the link. On further investigation this money was supposed to also go to small business as well. But unless you make over $200,00 you don’t qualify as a small business.
It’s basically bail out money for developers. I have yet to hear of 1 single foreclosure in Hunter’s Point. I have herd of a few non closings…which is entirely different.
Nice to see you Townie, Where ya been?
Duh, around. Sorry. Some of the topics are sort of worn out, if you know what I mean. Just an opinion, not a criticism.
#6, don’t drink and blog.

Ah, the Shannon Pot finally gets some press. I love that weirdo place. Was just there last night. The bartender was asking how Dutch Kills was… she hasn’t been yet but apparently they get spillover when they are at capacity.
