So Spark’s Deli gets an A grade, a press conference, AND gets robbed on two different days? Wow, that place is hopping.

Where is the love for LIC Market? They opened last week and I’ve been back twice for lunch already!

East of East certainly pays homage to the old LIC.

I’m shocked to see that Manetta’s scored so poorly on the health inspections. I’m hoping that they clean up their act.

I heard the The Burger Garage was open and the food is great. Now LIC Market is open as well, thats got to be a good week for Court Saquare area.

really home THE BURGER GARAGE makes it. they put a lot of work into that place.

Apparently if you are not serving Foie Gras and soaked in hipsters people are not interested in your restaurant opening. I agree so excited about Burger Garage and LIC Market, great new places that deserve more attention!

10, I’m not sure what more you expect to trumpet the opening of a burger joint and deli, places that are considered standard issue in any other neighborhood. Besides, both of these places received sufficient publicity on this site. Sometimes a burger is only a burger, even in LIC.

Tried LIC Market and the food is great. Market section is somewhat sparse right now. Coffee is really good as well. Looking forward to trying out the Burger Garage.

What this neighborhood need is a decent tailor! And shoe repair … two things right off the top of my head that are sadly lacking. I hate schlepping my trousers and shoes over to Manhattan.

I know that curmudgeons may cluck disapprovingly at a woman asking for a tailor. Please forgive me if I suck at hemming my own trousers.

Where did all the tailors go … “long time passing” … and *please* do not advertise any of the LIC dry cleaners’ sorry excuses for “expert tailors”.

the tailor inside the citibank building is actually the best ive found in lic

I like the tailor at the dry cleaner on 21 street across from the park. they have repaired quite a few things of mine and done a great job.
