What Long Island City did on our summer vacation; linkage galore

Hello liQcity readers, we’re back. Glad everyone kept themselves occupied in the summer heat. Enjoy the catch-up linkage, and of course the cool breezes headed our way, especially in those LIC new spots opening up this Fall. Stay tuned for our usual biz updates, but in the meantime check out some teasers in the linkage.

This doesn’t even begin to cover what was missed my this website/blog over the past 6 weeks.

No mention of LIC Market. No mention of the latest goings on with construction. There are at least 5 retail locations that have flipped .

It looks like the proprietor of the website is way out of the loop. Next time, hire an intern to replace you when you are on “vacation”.

Is anyone else sick of M.Wells dinner. I think I know the entire menu just from reading this blog. Maybe M.Wells kidnapped the person who runs this blog and the ransom was to post three articles a day talking about a sausage and english muffin sandwich, get over it.

Welcome back. It usually takes a few days to catch up after getting back to work after time off, I look forward to new posts. I guess we won’t die for what we missed. Thanks for your work in putting this blog together–maybe one of the people complaining about lack of posts wants to fill in when you are away? :-)

I also think M. Wells is at serious risk of overexposure, like the Kate Gosselin of restaurants. The owners should realize that this kind of attention is a turnoff to many people who would want to go there.

Thanks #3. #2 if you are interested in some community service, we are looking for local contributors. Serious there, not kidding. Anyone else reading, if you want to contribute content (photos, videos, anecdotes, stories, reviews) to your neighborhood blog, feel free to be in touch at info@liqcity dot com. It really does take a village. Cheers.

Kudos liQcity! This is a terrific and comprehensive blog and I admire anyone who can start up a business and support themselves to the point that they have the flexibility to take a month off. Most of us working in corporate America can only dream of that luxury.
