Queens West continues with its late summer bloom, as Duane Reade catches up with its neighbor, foodcellar, which has been open since Wednesday and already starting to pick up a decent bustle. The store is still being stocked, and there is a lot of grumble about the high price points, but it looks like the foodcellar owners are receptive to feedback. Duane Reade should be open by the end of the month.
I wonder if their cashiers will be as sullen and miserable as those in midtown.
We can only hope! I wouldn’t want to lose the D.R. experience.

In the meantime, the Vernon Pharmacy is now open on Sundays. And they still deliver.

Any idea when the Duane Reade will open? I saw that the aisles have product are signs, which must mean it’s getting close!
