Oh yea love for Court Square!

Caesar salad with chicken, Moussaka, Gyro not like a real Greek place but a decent enough substitute when your hankering for one. And The penne vodka dish with salmon!!!!!!!! My favorite!!!!!! The fish has been bad twice and the lamb once in 12 years , but I complained and they took my word for it and whisked over something new.

Also the Baklava. And I always get 2 meals out of 1.

Jeez, I like Sweetleaf as much as the next guy, but did they send this link around to their email list? Calm down, folks. Yes, it’s good. I’ve never found it orgasmically amazing, though, probably especially because there’s nowhere to sit really (same problem with Sage and the Brasil Coffee House on 23rd St).

On the topic of seating, no love for Court Square Diner on this site ever, ever? That place is the lifeblood of this neighborhood. The service is the best, open all hours, food is always good and affordable. It always feels like home in there and probably draws the most economically, ethnically, occupationally, and aesthetically diverse crowd of any establishment in the neighborhood. I would have thought the renovation would at least be worth a mention (although I sort of liked the old pink booths and broken jukeboxes).

I don’t work for Sweetleaf or the Creek but would like to say that people who go out of their way to speak ill of places and other people are obviously lacking joy in their lives. Perhaps engaging in positive behavior would help you feel better about yourself.

I love Sweetleaf! The guys ARE cool. We need to support the local places or they’ll disappear and then LIC will go back to not having any cool places for its residents. Adding a roundtrip train fare to get a cup a Joe doesn’t make sense anyway…

Save your money everyone….and go to “Joe…the Art of Coffee” in Grand Central. Just a 5 minute ride away. Now they know what they are doing. Sweetleaf has nothing on these guys. Sorry, but the truth hurts.

It;s nice to see the threads finally being moderated. CAn you also edit out all the $15 cocktail comments? But that person who always trashes people from the midwest is out of control. It really is blog pollution.

To stay on thread topic, Sweetleaf really is a great place. Just wish it was bigger and had wireless. That’s the only reason I go to Cafe Henri or Communitea. But the coffee at Sweetleaf is significantly superior.

Sweetleaf is an awesome place. Rich and Freddy (as Al is called) are super friendly and know everything about coffee. I just got a liQcity latte, even though I am a regular, and let me tell you it is the best latte in LIC. Smooth and creamy – needs no sugar, and they all know how to do that beautiful leaf on top. (would be great if it was $1 all the time:) I don’t know what all the bitching about ‘inaccuracies’ on the hand-drawn map is about. It’s clearly not meant to be used to find your way around LIC. Do we really need to pick on everything?
