JetBlue is considering moving to LIC or maybe Orlando. Could this be one of their possible locations?

Having been involved with the "glass" portion of the project for the past year should the developer decide to go forth with what I've seen on paper there will be an additional tower almost twice as high as the first going up in the adjacent corner of the property.

One of the problems with queens plaza is that there is no streetlife. You are overpowered by the maze of roads. If you look at the ueens plaza beatification the building have set backs making it more pedestrian friendly. I would imagine that this is what is going on here.

This is really great coverage. One of the things I was surprised by with the rising of the first Gotham Center tower where the health department will be moving is that it doesn't occupy the entire parcel where the original brutalist concrete parking structure used to stand. It's set back a significant distance from Jackson Avenue, whereas the parking structure occupied the entire corner of Queens Plaza and Jackson Avenue.

Does anyone know what the plan is for that space? It doesn't appear to be big enough for another large building? Could this be an extension of the greening of Queens Plaza that is starting? I'm totally intrigued, but can't figure out what they're planning. If anyone knows, do tell!

#2 is right. Fix the support beams. If it looked like the renderings it would be nice.

#2, #3 and #4, it looks to me that some improvement to the exposed steel of the Elevated tracks: they look filled in. But, with that said, renderings are almost never accurate..

They re-paint that area every few years and every few years it all peels away or, due to pollution, needs to be re-done constantly.

liqcity, what do you mean by "word on the street" is that star tower will go up in Feb. All the other evidence you site seems to contradict that...just wondering.

What they really need to do in Queens Plaza is repaint and/or cover up and/or reinforce better the elevated subway. That area will never be inviting with those rickety rusted girders hanging out everywhere.

Anyone know how to find a rendering of the new vent plant for the E,G, R and V lines on 43rd Avenue?

I've haven't heard anything about this, just saw the signs. Is it related to the elevator/escalator work at the Court Square stop? I wonder what the size of it will be? I can't find any info on the MTA's website.
