You are overpowered by the maze of roads. If you look at the ueens plaza beatification the building have set backs making it more pedestrian friendly. One of the things I was surprised by with the rising of the first Gotham Center tower where the health department will be moving is that it doesn't occupy the entire parcel where the original brutalist concrete parking structure used to stand. It's set back a significant distance from Jackson Avenue, whereas the parking structure occupied the entire corner of Queens Plaza and Jackson Avenue. Does anyone know what the plan is for that space? It doesn't appear to be big enough for another large building? Could this be an extension of the greening of Queens Plaza that is starting?
