Hunters View getting ready for windows. Alert the presses.

Hunters View getting ready for windows Long Island City

The developments around here are moving at such a clip, sometimes it’s hard to keep up with them. The weather’s been pretty dismal for photos, but here’s a nice one of the progress on Hunters View. It’s part of the Hunters Point Condos double whammy – between both buildings they’re 40% sold according to them. Enjoy the view

are you sure they are ready for windows? I thought the frames and sheets were just there to break the wind for the workers in the colder months? When did you get the 40% sold number? Was it from the sales office?

i think they exceeded 40% overall between the two buildings. this building is not quite up to 40% yet but getting close i’m told. despite the current economic issues i’m very happy i purchased as i think once those windows are in the building will look great………

the windows will be nice and tall. I don’t think they’re going in tomorrow or anything, but you can definitely see them coming soon. it’s taking shape! progress!!

Is it me or are these concrete monstrosities an eye sore.. It reminds me of Judge Dred or some futuristic movie with that awful Sylvester Stallone.

# 5 – I think it might just be you. The building on the left, Hunter’s View, is only 70 something units, so compared to most developments in the area, its not much of a monstrosity (though the other one seems to be bigger, but only 11 stories). And as for the eye sore, well you are right that they are all concrete, but this is the period we call “under construction”… if concrete slab and shear walls were meant to be pretty, they would leave them that way and save a ton of money. I’m sure even the Vatican looked like a piece of Sh*t while it was under construction.

I think it’s an eyesore. And I think half of these comments are plants from developers. There is no way they are 40% sold. How can one get the real information on that. Does anyone know where sales are listed in public record?
