I do not like Steinway Court Vet, and I’d recommend City Vet and much prefer Dr. Adams.
My kitty was one of the first she cared for when she opened, and Dr. Adams was so helpful and gracious. What would have cost a fortune at Steinway Court, City Vet worked with me because my cat’s condition was so odd. I highly recommend City Vet over Steinway Court, the staff are friendly and warm. Steinway is over crowded, and I think the Dr. is okay but I think he over books and is greedy.

Hunterspoint has ALWAYS been a residential neighborhood.
As a 16 year resident we always enjoyed local markets and mom and pop businesses.
to say that starbucks and a movie theater make an area a neighborhood is obnoxious.
I have watched the best part of this small community suffer from the over expansion madness and greed for upscale living. this historic community has now been transformed from a quaint village littered with historical buildings to a megalopolis of cement and steel
structures blocking out the sun and out long revered skyline. the waters edge now looks like Atlantic city with its architectural behemoths obscuring any sky left. The cookie cutter apartment craze is so inexplicable. Why would anyone want to live in a brand new box of sheet rock when you can have a beautiful turn of the century living space with all the modern upgrades? also why spent 3/4 of your entire income on your rent just so you can have concierge services. as long as people are willing to pay 3000.00 for a 450 square apartment the real estate bubble will never burst. this is the problem.
why do you need a “starbucks” when you have Brazil coffee? its a similar merchant without the trademark and crazy prices. gentrification is a great thing but not at the cost of history and preservation. Ask yourself, was it worth trading history for luxury?

I live in greenpoint and City Vet is the closest most convienent clinic to get to. my 1yr old orange long hair developed a urinary tract infection and within 2 days he was as good as new. reasonalble pricing and right around the corner. highly recommended.

I do not like Steinway Court Vet at all. The main doctor is okay, but the staff is totally rude and one of the subbing doctors (which is annoyingly common) unnecessarily tortured my pet and misdiagnosed the condition. Of course they charged me over $200 for the misdiagnosis - the torture they threw in for free. I wholehearted do NOT recommend Steinway Court Vet. If you care about your animals, don’t take them there. I have no idea about City Vet, but I know SCV.

I prefer the Steinway Court Vet. Not down the street, but they know how to take care of your pets.
