
On the catwalk at Ethereal Boutique’s Holiday Fashion & Trunk Show, LIC
Last night Vernon Blvd boutique Ethereal threw a Holiday Fashion & Trunk Show at SHI Restaurant in Queenswest. Tables of glittering jewelry and fancy accessories were set up, a catwalk was laid out alongside the bar, tables were packed, and Ethereal models worked their designs, all dolled up with lovely hair and makeup courtesy of the ladies over at LIC’s own Primp & Tease Salon on 50th Ave.

Last Saturday, right here on Vernon Blvd, Long Island City proved that Queens can deliver a fashion show to rival the fancypants at Bryant Park. Produced by Subdivision Boutique and Sumie Tachibana (a participating LIC designer-in-residence), the fashion show featured local Queens and Brooklyn designers, and sexily sizzled the large crowd in attendance »

Subdivision held a fashion show yesterday evening at the incredible Foundry event space, featuring the local designers who sell their masterpieces at the boutique on Vernon Blvd. The event, which was originally aimed towards press and fashion buyers, but then later open to the public and resulted in a great turn-out.

It’s a rainy Thursday night in LIC… what to do?
Well…if you want to get your drink on, and for free, you can go to one of the two wine tastings going on at a couple of LIC’s most prized wine shops, Hunters Point Wines (6-8pm) and Court Square Wine (4:30-7p). For those who complain about lack of amenities in LIC, we certainly have an abundance of alcohol distributors.
The Queens is Green Fashion Show hits Dutch Kills this weekend, offering a “free fashion competition that highlights clothing and accessories from local designers that not only look good, but are good for the planet.
The catwalk begins at 4:00PM.
