Ethereal & Subdivision Boutiques host Trunk Show at Manducatis Rustica

In a great display of synergy (a buzz word we have managed until now to avoid on liQcity), Ethereal and Subdivision Boutiques are co-hosting a spring Trunk Show tomorrow evening, featuring local designers and store specialties. If that’s not enough to get you out, the event is being held at Long Island City’s local favorite Manducatis Rustica.

Long Island City faces at Art-O-Mat; Italian classics get funky tonight

Last minute happenings in Long Island City tonight:

1) Art-O-Mat is hosting an opening party tonight from 6-9pm for the exhibition “Faces of a Village: Photographs of a Universal Principle” featuring photographs of faces from Long Island City captured by Jackie Weisberg and Alexander Richter. There will also be a special presentation at 7pm tonight for LIC’s very own centurian, Rose Fazio, who celebrated her 100th birthday this Valentine’s Day. 46-46 Vernon Blvd (NW corner 47th Ave), LIC

Holy Linkage! Well, we’re playing a bit of catch up, and as usual lots of activity in Long Island City.

The Queensbridge Theatre Cafe is progressing in its development in the little village of Ravenswood, just north of the Queensboro Bridge. Gothamist interviewed one of the owners about the dying nightscene in the LES and the consequent decision to open a venue in LIC, which is currently scheduled to pop in February 09.
